Kopiko L.A. Coffee Sip and Review

I adore coffee. Coffee addict here, yes I'm so guilty. I normally drink freshly brewed black coffee, no creamer or milk. That's the way I roll. But I see no harm in trying other brands and concoctions, as long as it's coffee, I'm IN!

So, this morning, I'm trying Kopiko L.A. Coffee Mix for the first time. A bit of a background first.

Kopiko coffee is produced by PT Mayora Indah, a food manufacturing company based in Indonesia. Tridharma Marketing Corporation (TMC), a member of  the TAO Community of Companies, one of the Philippines’ premier holding companies, is the distributor of the said product here in our country.

I've seen this Kopiko variant on a TVC. Based on my research it's already available locally since April last year. L.A. stands for Low Acid. It is made from a blend of Arabica coffee bean to provide the aroma and Robusta coffee bean to give the best coffee taste to the mix.

LA coffee can be differentiated from other brands; it required a certain temperature level during the roasting process to produce the low acidity condition to make it easier on the stomach. It  took Mayora almost 1½ years of research and development activity to come out with the low acid coffee.

So let's "Drink and Tell" shall we?

Price: Php 54.00 (10 sachets 25g each)
Bought from: SM Valenzuela
Also available at: Most Supermarkets

The 10 sachet pack is cheaper compared to the brand we usually buy, difference is around ten pesos. So, affordability, check! Here's how each sachet looks. Stylish packaging, somewhat funky-cosmopolitan facade.

Coffee description, net weight, suggested retail price (SRP), ingredients, how to prepare, expiration date and consumer hotline-- all present on each wrapper. The nutrition facts table is reflected on the 10 sachet pack plastic. Not bad.

What's the verdict? I'll tell you after the cut.

When prepared, it appears to be like any other 3 in 1 instant mixes. Even the aroma. The taste is rich, mild, flavourful, and a bit sweeter. Creaminess doesn't overpower the taste of roasted beans, you can savor both their goodness.

Overall, it's a delicious blend. And yes, it's definitely light. I had no worries on palpitations or upset tummy. This coffee mix suits any type of day. I enjoyed emptying my cup while reading and answering emails.
Will I buy this again? Yes, I think I will. #
